About The Conductor
Andria Martin is a certified music teacher with a Master in Education from Antioch University. She holds a Bachelor in Communications from the University of Puget Sound with an emphasis in music. Andria is currently the music specialist at Maple Elementary in Springfield. She has taught in Springfield since 2001. Andria also teaches after school music enrichment classes and general music classes at Edison Elementary. Andria has taught music classes at several Eugene preschools and enjoys attending Orff-Schulwerk classes & conferences whenever possible. Andria’s classes are high-energy and engage students through movement, dance, instruments, singing, and games. In her spare time, Andria enjoys playing jazz piano at several local venues. professionally with Slightly Retro Jazz. The quartet plays at the Jazz Station, local wineries, restaurants, and special events around town. Andria has had the privilege of performing with many top jazz musicians such as Hubert Laws, Kenny Drew Jr, Bobby Shew, and Dick Oatts. When she is not performing, Andria also loves travelling, hiking, running, and biking with her two daughters, ages 9 & 11, and her husband. I look forward to directing the Prelude Choir every Monday.
The Prelude Choir is a choir for boys and girls in Kindergarten or 5 yr olds and 1st grade. Choristers may sign up for Prelude Choir without an audition. The purpose of the Prelude Choir is to provide students with a musical foundation that will serve them the rest of their lives. Students will sing a variety of songs, learn the basic elements of music, engage in interactive sound exploration, and have fun! Students will also get to experience musical performance through participation in the October, December, March and May concerts.
The Prelude Choir will rehearse on Mondays from 4:30 to 5:30 in Room 6 beginning on the second Monday in September.

The Oregon Children’s Choir is a non-profit organization. Its operating expenses, which include music,
conductor’s salaries, and rehearsal space, are funded by chorister tuition.
- Tuition for the upcoming season, September through May, is $375.

We offer discounts for families with more than one child enrolled with OCC. The discount is 25% off the second child’s tuition, and 50% off per chorister for any additional siblings. Discount is taken from the lower tuition(s)
We offer several need based scholarships. Please ask for a scholarship application with your registration materials.
