About the Classics

Classics was formed in 1994 to give members of the Young Men’s Ensemble opportunities for musical enjoyment and participation beyond the structured settings of traditional choral experiences. The smaller group allows capable YME members to sing a cappella music that requires advanced skills in intonation, blend, expression, vocal tone and range. The members can make musical decisions and give creative input, which helped build better musicians and increases the personal satisfaction one gets out of making music. "Classics" have attained a high level of expertise and professionalism. They have established themselves as an elite group of singers who are not only vocally talented, but who are dynamic showmen as well.
